Angry and displeased he went to the Buddha and abused and insulted him with rude, harsh words.<\/p>\n<p>But when he said this, the Buddha kept silent.<\/p>\n<p>Then Bharadv\u0101ja the Fiend said to the Buddha,\u00a0\u00a0\u201cYou\u2019re beaten, ascetic, you\u2019re beaten!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Ha! I won!\u2019 thinks the fool,\u00a0when speaking with harsh words.\u00a0Patience is the true victory\u00a0for those who understand.<\/p>\n<p>When you get angry at an angry person\u00a0you just make things worse for yourself.\u00a0When you don\u2019t get angry at an angry person\u00a0you win a battle hard to win.<\/p>\n<p>When you know that the other is angry,\u00a0you act for the good of both\u00a0yourself and the other\u00a0if you\u2019re mindful and stay calm.<\/p>\n<p>People unskilled in Dhamma\u00a0consider one who heals both\u00a0oneself and the other\u00a0to be a
