Give it up,\u00a0and I guarantee you non-return.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Buddha spoke this matter.\u00a0On this it is said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen overcome by greed<br \/>\nbeings go to a bad place.<br \/>\nHaving rightly understood that greed,<br \/>\nthe discerning give it up.<br \/>\nOnce they\u2019ve given it up,<br \/>\nthey never return to this world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This too is a matter that was spoken by the Blessed One: that is what I heard.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/suttacentral.net\/iti1\/en\/sujato\">https:\/\/suttacentral.net\/iti1\/en\/sujato<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>English translation by John D. Ireland<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This was said by the Lord, said by the Arahant, so I heard:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbandon one thing, bhikkhus, and I guarantee you non-returning. What is that one thing? Greed is that one thing, bhikkhus. Abandon that and I guarantee you non-returning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the meaning of what the Lord said. So in regard to this it was said:<\/p>\n<p>Beings coveting with greed<br \/>\nGo to rebirth in a bad bourn.<br \/>\nBut having rightly understood greed,<br \/>\nThose with insight abandon it.<br \/>\nBy abandoning it they never come<br \/>\nBack to this world again.<\/p>\n<p>This too is the meaning of what was said by the Lord, so I heard.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a
