The higher ethics, the higher mind,<\/span><\/p>\n

and the higher wisdom should be practiced<\/span><\/p>\n

by those energetic, steadfast, and resolute,<\/span><\/p>\n

practicing absorption, mindful, with guarded senses.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As before, so after;<\/span><\/p>\n

as after, so before.<\/span><\/p>\n

As below, so above;<\/span><\/p>\n

as above, so below.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As by day, so by night;<\/span><\/p>\n

as by night, so by day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having mastered every direction<\/span><\/p>\n

with limitless immersion,<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

they call them a \u2018trainee on the path\u2019,<\/span><\/p>\n

and \u2018one living a pure life\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

But a wise one who has gone to the end of the path<\/span><\/p>\n

they call a \u2018Buddha\u2019 in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the cessation of consciousness,<\/span><\/p>\n

freed by the ending of craving,<\/span><\/p>\n

the liberation of their heart<\/span><\/p>\n
