pleasant and raucous,<br \/>\nDo not be enthralled with pleasant sound.<br \/>\nDispel the course of hate towards the raucous,<br \/>\nAnd do not soil the mind by thinking,<br \/>\n\u2018This one\u00a0is displeasing to me.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving smelt a fragrant, delightful scent,<br \/>\nAnd having smelt a putrid stench,<br \/>\nDispel aversion towards the stench<br \/>\nAnd do not painful,<br \/>\nNot drawn or repelled by anything.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen common people of proliferated perception<br \/>\nPerceive and proliferate they become engaged.<br \/>\nHaving dispelled every mind-state bound to the home life,<br \/>\nOne travels on the road of renunciation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the mind is thus well developed in six,<br \/>\nIf touched, one\u2019s mind never flutters
