\u201c\u0100nanda, it\u2019s not easy to teach Dhamma to others.\u00a0You should establish five things in yourself before teaching Dhamma to others.\u00a0What five?<\/p>\n

You should teach Dhamma to others thinking: \u2018I will teach step by step.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018I will teach showing my method.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018I will teach out of kindness.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018I will not teach while secretly hoping to profit.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n

\u2018I will teach without hurting myself or others.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not easy to teach the Dhamma to others, \u0100nanda. The Dhamma should be taught to others only when five qualities are established within the person teaching. Which five?<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dhamma should be taught with the thought, \u2018I will speak step-by-step.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dhamma should be taught with the thought, \u2018I will speak explaining the sequence (of cause & effect).\u2019<\/p>\n
