And you should be keen to endure physical pain\u2014sharp, severe, acute, unpleasant, disagreeable, life-threatening.\u00a0In these three situations, you should be keen.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a mendicant who is keen to prevent bad, unskillful qualities from arising. They\u2019re keen to give rise to skillful qualities. (3) Ardor should be exercised for enduring arisen bodily feelings that are painful, racking, sharp, piercing, harrowing, disagreeable, sapping one\u2019s vitality.
